Hey friends! I’m doing an Autumn Capsule Wardrobe for 2020.
Clothing
I created my own capsule using @Project333 as a foundation.
I picked 2 outwear, 3 tops, 2 bottoms, 2 dresses, 2 shoes, and 1 bag.
I got really excited when I saw Anna’s (@somethingwhite) Fall Wardrobe Basics and I picked these pieces. I want y’all to know that I didn’t count active wear, lounge wear, sleep wear.
Capsule Pieces
Base layers | Outer wear | One Pieces | Tops | Bottoms | Shoes | Bag(s) | Wants |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Tights | Red Flannel | Fall dress | Black tee | Blue pants | Year Socks | Tote Bag | |
Leggings | Chambray | Green dress | White long sleeve | Black pants | Sandals | ||
Grey long sleeve | Converse |
Time length
I started in some time in Oct 2020 and went all the way until 12/23/2020 which is 45 to 60 days in total.
Outfits

Fun Fact: Most clothes you will purchase will get less than 30 wears in its lifetime. This challenge is to also raise awareness and get you to #wearitagain so you can get the most out of your clothes.

For me, Capsule Wardrobes are about exploring my closet rather than giving myself a strict challenge.

What’s a solo photoshoot without any silly pictures?
Okay, bye.

“The night chills my bones
10/16 untitled
As a medley floats in the air
I close my eyes and let the two wrap around me
As I breathe this moment in”
Final thoughts
I loved this challenge. It was very easy to pick out what I wanted to wear each day. After a few weeks I did get kind of bored and then I would create a sort of mismatch outfit and that would get me really excited. It allowed me to branch out and try different styles that I usually wouldn’t. Like the Chambray + Green Dress + Tights + Year socks + Converse. That is what made this capsule entertaining, seeing how far I can push and expand my fashion sense and still feel amazing in what I wear.
