sadeh from an unused root meaning to spread out; a field (as flat):—country, field, ground, land, soil, wild.

(Lord you called me to a field)

I am in a field
The ground has been freshly plowed
I look up and I can see mountains in the distance
Blue sky it’s backdrop

In between, nearer to me, is a plain of wild flowers
Yellow, white, and green.
The sea is calling out behind me
Gentle waves echo from it’s shores

The wind is at my back,
tenderly telling me to step into the new,
into this answered prayer
Reminding me that seasons and growth takes time,
that everything is a process

“We bless her hands to do the work that you’ve prepared her for in this land.”

What shall I plant?
I answer my own question,
My hopes, my dreams, and desires
My aspirations, my faith, and failures

Fiery darts come to send me off course,
To burn my fields,
But with a whisper they stop in midair and fall to the ground
and from their remains a flower blooms,

And it’s a reminder to me of your love for me, O Lord.
It serves as a reminder of your protection
As a reminder of something more beautiful
and more creative
and more real in exchange.

And day by day, I pick the flowers
That were once meant to harm me

And day by day, I walk along the surrounding areas
and making a floral bouquet,
presenting it as a reminder
and sharing it’s beauty
with all those around me.

Tomorrow and tomorrow, I plant more seeds
Seed by seed, I wait for growth.

‘For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.’

Romans 8:18

‘And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. ‘

Romans 8:28
