Untitled by Mary Yoo

I like this wave. It’s a gigantic wave and it’s coming towards a person, but the person isn’t cowering in fear but they are facing the wave head on. It reminds me of David and Goliath or Joshua and Caleb. Both had the same problem and both had faith that God would deliver them and mostly importantly, they knew that they could not fail.

‘A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.’

Psalms 91:7

What we think is hard is nothing to God.

‘Is anything too hard for the Lord?.’

Genesis 18:14

What others would perceive as impossible is no biggy to God because if he has called you to it, then you cannot fail.

‘Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.’

Romans 8:37

The stance of the person in this painting, is the meaning of being strong and courageous. Not cowering or in a battle stance, but standing in a place of victory and rest. As children of God we don’t fight for victory, we fight from it. We don’t work for rest, we work from rest. This wave represents the very stance we should take, while walking in the fullness of our salvation.

“And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

Exodus 33:14

‘When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.’

Isaiah 43:2

I love this wave.
It’s a chance to grow.
A chance to become
